Seejungfrau Restaurant in Jois
The Seejungfrau (Mermaid) Restaurant is situated directly on the harbour in Jois – not as smoothly stylish as Mole West, but with its own very special charm. Dining here is superb and the service is especially friendly and competent. Just as you would expect, the wine selection is as stimulating as it is comprehensive.
Mole West in Neusiedl am See 
Mole West has grown substantially over the last few years and is no longer to be overlooked. The Mole slogan is “When I see the lake, I don’t need the sea any more” – and it’s true. The location can’t be beaten and people meet up to while away the time together. The Mole offers superb dining and the right wine is easy to find amongst the huge selection.
Weinwerk in Neusiedl am See
The Burgenland Weinwerk (the art of wine) in the haus im puls opens up an illustrious wine panorama for its visitors: a dream come true, with a result that creates a lasting impression. A complete work of art, impressive contemporary architecture melts with the frame of a building that has been there since Renaissance times. 400 wines from 140 vintners in Burgenland. From international stars to young hopefuls with an exciting future – definitely one of the most impressive wine stores in Austria.
Gut Oggau Heuriger
Since Summer 2009 there’s also been a real Heuriger (wine tavern) in the region: Gut Oggau. More modern and stylish than you’re used to. The courtyard is enchanting and owner Stephanie Tscheppe-Eselböck takes terrific care of her guests. Naturally, you can drink the right wine from their own vines by the glass. It’s definitely worth a visit. Open from 1 May to 30 September.
Taubenkobel
Who doesn’t know the Taubenkobel (the dovecote) – one of the best restaurants in the region? The Eselböck family knows what they’re doing and they do it very, very well – as the constant stream of awards proves. You can even take a piece of the Taubenkobel home with you from the delicatessen next door. From homemade duck liver paté to chutneys, jams and vinegars – to set every gourmet’s heart beat a little faster.
